We all have pain in our karmic past. This pain is held within us and taints our ‘lens’ of this current life. It clouds everything we touch in life… our judgment, our relationships, our perspectives and our feelings about ourselves.
We all play out our prior life dynamics and patterns – over and over – until we get tired of them. Even then, we keep playing them out (with a little more awareness) – over and over – until we finally learn the lessons around them! Then, once the lessons are truly and completely learned, those scenarios simply cease to present in our life. Poof… like a puff of smoke… they disappear!
This is the heart of Evolutionary Astrology and it can be a wonderful tool to highlight the lessons. Through interpreting your birthchart from an evolutionary perspective, the next steps on your healing journey can be identified. There are always key issues that you are trying to deal with in this lifetime and once they are understood, so much of your present life will (seemingly miraculously) weave in and out of the central themes that are presenting for healing. We simply play them out over and over in different ways until we finally understand what we are attempting to learn.

Be assured, until you become conscious of any patterns that you play out, you will continue to play them out because you are trying to learn the lessons around them! Seeing yourself in this way can accelerate the healing process because, instead of being totally “in there”, you can learn to stand back a little and detach from the emotions of each experience. This is what becoming your own observer is about.
It is in the emotional body that the memories of all our pain are stored, but unless we are able to detach from the actual feelings – which we have felt so many times before – we can never become objective about what the lesson behind the emotion is!
The rate of your healing is up to you. It depends on your level of commitment to it. It takes courage to embark on life as a CONSIOUS journey as this requires taking personal responsibility for every aspect of the life you have created around you… and many of us are not ready for that.
It’s much easier to project our frustrations about how our life is NOT working the way we want it to than to own that:
- We have created the “not working” part
- We have the ability to change what’s not working if we are ready to commit to, take total responsibility for and, work towards NOT slipping back into age-old patterns that are past their use-by date anyway.
They are the obstacles that are blocking our forward movement NOW and we can’t get on with the evolutionary journey of our Soul until they are cleared from our path. So… why not have help with identifying them?
Until we have identified what’s in our way on the road from our past that is hampering our forward movement, we can’t positively reach for our future. That is because we view all of life through the clouded judgment of our past pain. It’s like an overlay – if you like – or a pair (or many pairs) of different tinted glasses that all contribute to our having a somewhat distorted perspective of life.
And if we have a distorted perspective of life, how do we see it (or ourselves) clearly? How can we be totally objective about what we do see if we are seeing it through clouded lenses?
But how can we identify that our perspective of life IS distorted unless we start to Soul search? Something has to drive us to self-seek, self-understand and then self-heal.
What is it that drives us to start? Something someone said? Something we don’t understand and would like to? Some inner drive that we can’t consciously identify?
